Dawaipani is a small, charming Lepcha village located about 15 km from Darjeeling, at an altitude of about 5,800 feet. The name Dawaipani in the local Lepcha language means "medicinal water", referring to a natural spring in the area. The village offers some of the best sunrise views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and is surrounded by tea gardens and lush forests. Dawaipani is quickly becoming a favourite offbeat destination for travellers seeking peace and natural beauty.
Itinerary

Arrival at NJP/Bagdogra. Drive to Dawaipani via Darjeeling (approx. 3.5 hrs). Evening tea garden walk. Overnight stay.

Early morning 4 AM hike to Dawaipani sunrise viewpoint for Kanchenjunga sunrise. After breakfast explore Lepcha village, medicinal spring and local tea gardens. Overnight stay.

After breakfast drive back to NJP/Bagdogra.
